Breadalbane 1-0 Balmoral

After Breadalbane's last defeat in the league against Roselea, Breadalbane were eager to get back to their winning ways. In a rival match where both teams wanted to stop their losing streak while the league table is so close.

The game started at a furious pace where both teams putting in a number of hard tackles and referee Derek Brydie refused to comment. After the first 15 mins of the match Breadalbane's Goalkeeper David Ferrie and his defence just knew it was going to be there day after he made a number of good saves. After 30 Mins Breadalbane suffered a cruel blow when Aaron Thomas was brought down by the Balmorol left-back which caused the midfielder to hobble off. Te game was 0-0 at the break.

The deadlock was broken 10 mins into the 2nd half , the Breadalbane's defence cleared the ball to Richard Scullin who was at the half way line. He took the ball to feet & turned his marker then played an excellent ball with the outside of his foot to his veteran forward Duncan Robertson who controlled the ball and took a shot from 30yards which swerved into the top right hand corner, postage stamp finish.

Breadalbane lead 1-0.

20 mins from the end Breadalbane had to bring on their sub goalie after David Ferrie came running outside his box to clear a 50-50 ball where the keeper came out worse The Breadalbane players could taste the victory and Breadalbane's defenders who had played well all game managed to clear all the balls away to cope with the pressure that they were under in the 5mins injury time the referee had added on. The ref blew his whistle for full time where the one goal was good enough for Breadalbane to stop their losing streak and make Breadalbane run out deserved winners.
